The MEEVCE, project, funded by the Elkartek Program of the Basque Government, is led by Ikerlan in collaboration with Bearinn, Ceit, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, and the Energy Cluster. The project aims to generate the necessary knowledge to obtain an evolutionary methodology for extending the lifespan of wind turbine components under real operating conditions. The project partners have focused on four critical components of the wind turbine: the blade, gears, shaft, and bearings.

Among the communication and dissemination activities of the project, led by the Energy Cluster, is the coordination of the Advisory Committee of MEEVCE, which allows for key contributions to adjust developments to the technological trends foreseen in the medium to long term, as well as the needs and expectations of potential beneficiaries of the developed knowledge.

During the meeting, the different models developed to date were presented, each focusing on a critical component. Mondragon Unibertsitatea focused on the holistic model of the blade; Ikerlan, on the digital twin of the gear; Bearinn, in turn, on the digital twin of the bearings; and Ceit, on the digital twin of the shaft. The members of the Advisory Committee had the opportunity to ask questions throughout the four presentations.

Finally, the meeting concluded with a final round of opinions and contributions regarding the presented advances, encouraging the consortium to continue developing the models and digital twins, and expressing their interest in closely following future lines of development.
