The training session, held on December 19th, presented an overview of the capabilities of the Basque technological and industrial fabric in the energy sector, and introduced young talents to the most important projects and initiatives that are being undertaken in the Basque Country to meet the challenges of the energy transition.
The Basque Energy Cluster Association (ACE) began by presenting the context of the energy transition in which the energy sector is currently immersed, described the main technological and market trends in that area, and highlighted the opportunity that these trends represent for companies that make up the industrial fabric of the sector in our environment.
The meeting also included a closer look at the functions that the Basque Energy Cluster plays within the Basque energy ecosystem, and the inter-business cooperation and public-private collaboration that it promotes in its 8 strategic areas.
The session then explored value chains and key activities in the fields of wind energy, smart grids, hydrogen and decarbonisation of industry, thereby giving students the opportunity to learn about the wide range of career opportunities that the energy sector has to offer.
The students were also able to take part in a question and discussion session, in which the main focus was on the technological challenges involved in implementing new solutions and technologies for the energy transition.
