We will tackle this objective by means of the following technical goals:

• • Defining a methodological basis to guarantee optimal integration of the primary components (models, modules, methodologies, etc.) of the integrated modelling system.
• • Developing a prospective, multisectoral, e3s energy model, which will use IA techniques to combine bottom-up and top-down perspectives with the level of geographical, sector and temporal disaggregation required for integrated analysis.
• • Designing a specific industrial sector disaggregation model, to be integrated into the multisectoral energy model and make possible a detailed assessment of the effects of specific measures, technologies and policies.
• Developing a multisectoral, macroeconomic, 3e model for the Basque Country, with a top-down focus, that will focus on assessing impacts on GDP and employment by sector, investment, private consumption, public consumption, balance of trade, prices, Public Administration accounts, distributive effects, energy and emissions.
• • Defining a decision-making support model, to enable mass, automated generation of energy transition scenarios using AI-ML and defining indicators and criteria for prioritisation.
• • Formulating a database of circular economy and industrial sustainability indicators, enabling effective assessment of the advances that help to increase the resource use efficiency and sectoral and regional sustainability.
• • Validating the BIDERATU Integrated Modelling System, applying a concept test to analyse possible decarbonisation scenarios and assess the functionality of the system.
