The session of the Sector Forum on wave energy, coordinated by SIEMENS GAMESA, took place as an online event on 12 November. One of the talks given was by Juan Diego Díaz, Onshore Wind Power Marketing Director at SIEMENS GAMESA, who spoke of the current situation of the sector worldwide. Also interesting was the discussion on breakthroughs in the major Basque R&D initiatives, including the SEAPOWER project, headed by SENER; WIND2GRID, headed by IDOM; INNTERESTING, headed by IKERLAN; and MATHEO, headed by TECNALIA. ACE also outlined the subsidies available for recovery and the leading internationalisation activities coming up in the near future. To finish up, ACE highlighted the progress of the two working groups linked to the Forum: the Offshore Wind Power Group and the Wind Turbine Data Sharing Group.
