TECNALIA is a benchmark applied research and technology centre in Europe; with 1,400 experts in 22 centres developing technology solutions in multiple areas for more than 4,000 customers.

TECNALIA brings to BIDERATU its research experience in the areas of energy planning (Energy Planning team) and AI technologies (Digital Energy team).

BASQUE CENTRE FOR CLIMATE CHANGE (BC3)

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) is a research excellence centre focussing on the causes and consequences of climate change. It has links to key scientific centres and organisations around the world, including the IPCC. BC3 enjoys great respect and visibility as well as a strategic position as a national and international scientific player. It has been awarded the María de Maeztu Excellence quality label.

BC3 brings to BIDERATU a long experience in macroeconomic modelling, socioeconomic impact evaluation, and industrial sector decarbonisation modelling. The Mondragón Goi Eskola Politeknikoa Jose María Arizmendiarrieta Cooperative, based in Mondragón, Guipúzcoa, is a not-for-profit, integrated educational cooperative that has been awarded public interest status.

MU-EPS

Escuela Politécnica Superior (MU-EPS) is the Mondragon University Engineering Faculty. Its research activity is clearly focussed on technology transfer and the business world. It currently has nine research groups recognised by the Basque Government as Basque University System Excellence in Research Groups.

As part of BIDERATU, the Circular Economy and Industrial Sustainability (ECSI) Group and the Data Analysis and Cybersecurity Group will work on the integration of circular economy strategies and AI techniques into prospective evaluation models in the fields of energy and macroeconomics.

CLUSTER DE ENERGÍA

The Basque Energy Cluster is a non-for-profit association which endeavours to enhance competitiveness in the Basque energy sector. It currently encompasses 180 businesses and associations, including energy operators, equipment and component manufacturers, engineering firms, service companies, technology agents and Basque Government agencies.

The Basque Energy Cluster helps to bring the technology developed by BIDERATU to businesses and institutions, by means of events and other communication and outreach activities.

ACLIMA

The ultimate aim of ACLIMA is to improve the competitiveness of Basque eco-industry. To do this, it relies on its experience of more than 20 years promoting cooperation and liaising between businesses, universities, technology centres and government agencies.

The role of ACLIMA in awareness activities and as a prescriber of BIDERATU’s results is key to ensuring the success of the project and their penetration of its results into public and private ecosystems.
