Clusters are recognized as important drivers for the competitiveness of regions. Their activity can be fuelled through the action of dedicated cluster initiatives, or "cluster organisations". The TCE project brings together the efforts and resources of four cluster organisations working towards energy and bio-economy from Finland, Sweden, Spain and Portugal to gain competences in the cluster management best practices, with the aim of providing better added value services to their members, with a special focus on SMEs.

The project will be developed within a time frame of two years (2016-2017), with a budget of € 249.000, and it is expected to have impact on around 500 European SMEs.

TCE Project Activities

• Benchmarking of the current cluster management practices of each partner, in order to identify gaps for improvement
• Specific training of cluster managers in identified priority areas
• Study visits to selected top cluster organisations
• Application of new and better practices in the cluster management
• Assessment of the impact of the action
• Dissemination of project results to other clusters
