On 13 December the Basque Energy Cluster signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ACERA (Chilean Association for Renewable Energies) with the aim of establishing formal cooperation between both sides, to strengthen business between Chile and the Basque Country, exchange knowledge, promote research and technological cooperation, and foster the internationalisation of Basque and Chilean companies.
The memorandum was signed on 13 December at the international event organised by the Basque Energy Cluster, as Carlos Finat, Executive Director of ACERA was there to present the status and prospects of the Chilean energy market. José Freitas, Policy Officer of the European Commission, also took part in the signing of the agreement. He was attending the event as a European representative within the framework of the European project REINA PLUS.
This agreement aims to strengthen business connections in the energy sector between the Basque Country and Chile.
