At its meeting of 29 December 2020, the Basque Government Cabinet approved an investment programme for the recovery, transformation and resilience of the Basque Country. The programme, known as Euskadi Next 21-26, is being put forward by the Basque Government, hand-in-hand with the three provincial councils and the city councils of the three Basque capitals, for inclusion in the Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience (PRTR) that the Spanish Government will submit to Europe for Next Generation EU Funding - specifically from the Mechanism for Recovery and Resilience (MSS).
The final meeting of the Working Group reviewed the outcomes for the year and made proposals for 2011. More than 130 participants took part in the session, held remotely. EVE, ACE and PETRONOR, and companies including BOSCH REXROTH, H2SITE, TUBACEX and ZIGOR pitched hydrogen-related initiatives.
The Basque Energy Cluster (ACE) sees publishing the activities conducted throughout the year via channels such as LinkedIn to be essential. LinkedIn currently has 12 million users in Spain alone and is the largest social media platform used by professionals for networking, business and professional branding.
On 1 December last, the Basque Energy Cluster (ACE), together with the Environment Cluster (ACLIMA) organised a workshop for more than 70 persons, held in a mixed physical and virtual space. The session was divided into three thematic blocks: Ecodesign and the Circular Economy at corporate level and its impact on supplier management; Application of Product Environmental Declarations in the case of a wind farm; and Reduction of environmental impact on manufacturing and production processes by means of recovering surplus heat.
Además de los avances y nuevas iniciativas en el sector durante los últimos meses, ACE hizo una revisión del impacto COVID en el sector y actuaciones en el marco de la Asociación.
El Director General del Cluster de Energia, José Ignacio Hormaeche, participó el pasado 4 de diciembre en la mesa redonda organizada por el "Club español de la energía" (Enerclub) en torno al tema “Redes inteligentes y renovables: oportunidades para la industria y el empleo en Euskadi".
The Basque Energy Cluster, as promoter of 'Wind Energy Basque Country' and 'Offshore Wind Basque Country' brands have participated from 1 to 4 December 2020 in the first digital WindEnergy Hamburg Event to promote the different capabilities of the wind energy value chain, as well as the collaborative R&D EU projects and public-private collaboration within the energy sector in the Basque County.
Jose I. Hormaeche, Managing Director of the Basque Energy Cluster (ACE) presented the EU-funded H2020 PLATOON project, during WindEnergy Hamburg 2020 virtual event at the WindTV OpenStream in the Exhibitor Talks session.
