The third Go Mobility by MUBIL fair was held on April 27 and 28, 2022. The Basque Energy Cluster Association (ACE) took part in this year's event with a stand shared with the SMEs Veltium and Lumiker and the electric recharging project OPTICHARGER - coordinated by ACE in collaboration with both SMEs - as the connecting thread. In addition to the joint stand, the three exhibitors showcased their activities and the main results of the project through presentations at the fair's Exhibitor's Corner.
The Basque Energy Cluster Association (ACE) took part as an exhibitor at GO MOBILITY by MUBIL at FICOBA (Irun) from April 27-28, at a stand shared with the companies Veltium and Lumiker and with the OPTICHARGER electric recharging project as a connecting thread, to highlight the projects and activities promoted by ACE and their commitment to developing technology in the field of electric vehicle charging, especially by supporting SMEs and start-ups.
GO MOBILITY by MUBIL is a professional trade fair for the digital and industrial aspects of the sustainable mobility industry and is promoted by MUBIL with the collaboration of Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, the Basque Government, the Basque Energy Agency (EVE) and FICOBA. In this framework, the three exhibitors had the opportunity to present their activities, their new product developments and the main results of the OPTICHARGER project at their joint stand and in a number of presentations at the fair's Exhibitor's Corner.
OPTICHARGER is a project promoted and coordinated by ACE, in collaboration with Veltium and Lumiker, which is part of the Innovative Business Group (AEI) support group of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (MINCOTUR), which over the last year has tackled the design of a range of recharging solutions for electric vehicles incorporating 4. 0 technologies, advanced functionalities for providing value-added services to users and a current measurement system based on optical transformers to detect faults, deterioration of lines in real time and possible safety risks in the recharging process.
As far as the presentations at Exhibitor's Corner are concerned, David Bengoechea, on behalf of Lumiker, presented his vision on the application of optical monitoring solutions to the field of electric mobility, Alberto Delgado, on behalf of Veltium, showed the progress made in the incorporation of intelligence into recharging systems and processes (smart recharging), and Begoña Molinete, on behalf of ACE, presented an overview of the OPTICHARGER project as a successful example of collaboration between SMEs in the technological development of electric recharging solutions.
The main companies and entities of the sector attended this fair, in which it has been possible to show and get to know the latest developments of Basque companies regarding the challenges of the emerging electric vehicle market. It also served as a networking space between companies, entities, government agencies and research and teaching centres. Other active participants included students interested in the market.
