CURRENT SITUATION
The Basque Energy Cluster and Tecnalia, both partners in the BIDERATU project, represented the Net-Zero Basque Industrial Super Cluster initiative together with the SPRI Group and Petronor at the event, organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in Houston between October 10 and 12.
The Net-Zero Basque Industrial Super Cluster is one of the ten regional initiatives that make up the initiative promoted by the World Economic Forum (WEF) to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The event brought the cluster community together to share projects and experiences, analyse challenges and opportunities, and foster the technological alliances needed to accelerate the transition towards decarbonising the various industrial sectors.
In the “Walkabout session”, among other technological and industrial development projects, the Net-Zero Basque Industrial Super Cluster delegation presented the modelling tool developed in the BIDERATU project to support the definition of strategies and decision-making by public administrations in relation to decarbonising the economy, with a focus on the industrial sector.
