CURRENT SITUATION
BC3 presented the BIDERATU project to more than one hundred companies from the environmental sector at the 1st BASQUE GREENTECH Innovation and Environmental Technology Transfer Forum on 1st December at the BEC (Barakaldo).
The event was created as a meeting point between the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network (RVCTI) and the Basque environmental sector in order to raise awareness of the RVCTI’s technological and research lines in response to the environmental challenges and the ecological transition. This first edition focused on two of the major challenges raised in the new European Green Deal strategy —the Circular Economy and Environmental Quality—, and the opportunities derived from new technologies as facilitators of new services and environmental products.
As part of the 4th Block of the Programme, corresponding to the Circular Economy, Iñaki Arto, Researcher at BC3, presented the BIDERATU project and described how the Circular Economy perspective will be incorporated into the modelling tool developed.
The seminar was also attended by the Basque Government’s Deputy Minister for Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Estíbaliz Hernaez Leviña; the Basque Representative in the European Union, Marta Marín; the General Manager of IHOBE, Alexander Boto; the Foresight & International Director at INNOBASQUE, Lola Elejalde; the Director of the Technology, Innovation and Sustainability of SPRI Group, Cristina Oyón; and the General Director of ACLIMA, Olga Martín, among others.
