The Basque Energy Cluster Association (ACE) showcased the professional development opportunities that Basque companies in the energy sector offer to students on its own stand at the event held on February 17 at the San Mamés stadium.
The event was organised by the Bilbao School of Engineering (University of the Basque Country - UPV/EHU) as a fair, with the participation of around 70 organisations that took the opportunity to explain what they do to students, job opportunities and the profile of the candidates they are looking for.
For its part, ACE provided students with an overview of the activity, trends and future prospects of the energy sector, introducing them to the reality of Basque companies in the sector and providing them with a fuller knowledge of the job opportunities offered by each of the strategic areas: wind energy, smart grids, hydrogen, etc.
ACE also took advantage of the event to describe the activities and professional opportunities of some of its partner companies in more detail such as ARRECIFE ENERGY SYSTEMS, DITREL, HINE, LANTEGI BATUAK, PCVUE, R2M, STATKRAFT and URIARTE SAFYBOX, among others. In total, ACE publicised more than 12 job or internship offers from partner companies, highlighting their attractiveness and encouraging potential candidates to apply.
The turnout of students, who appreciated the vision of the sector and the company presentations, far exceeded the expectations of what was ACE's first participation in this event.
