The session, which was attended by several European experts, focused on the keys to achieving a successful business model for a cluster association.
This event is part of a series of online meetings that the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP offers to the cluster community. They include updates on the latest industrial policies and cluster involvement, projects and best practices, the latest ECCP news and funding opportunities. The EU Clusters Talks are a space to exchange knowledge and discuss topics relevant to European clusters, addressing different topics at each meeting.
On this occasion, on 24 January, the meeting focused on "Successful clustering: Business models and management skills". The session was introduced by Marek Przeor, from the cluster policy area within DG GROW of the European Commission. This was followed by a round table discussion with the participation of the Basque Energy Cluster, with the following speakers:
• Alain Tubiana, Head of the Master's programme "Collective Intelligence and Innovative Ecosystems in Europe", University of Strasbourg
• Ásta Kristín Sigurjónsdóttir, CEO, Iceland Tourism Cluster
• Christian Rangen, Founding Partner, Engage // Innovate
• Gisela Sánchez, European Project Manager, Finance Innovation
• Marcos Suárez, Director of Strategic Areas, ACE
The meeting was of particular interest to the European community and was attended by more than 130 participants.
