On January 26, ACE and SPRI brought together three SMEs from the energy sector (KIMUA, GLUAL and ELDU) at BIC Gipuzkoa with the aim of hosting a number of short presentations by a total of 18 start-ups, which could provide digital transformation solutions to the daily operations of these SMEs.
After months of work defining the challenges of the three SMEs, each with different characteristics and requirements, the details of the challenges attracted various start-ups willing to provide solutions for developing Industry 4.0 for these companies. KIMUA was looking for a machine vision solution in integrated load handling solutions; GLUAL wanted to find a solution to improve the traceability of its products, for after-sales service and maintenance; and ELDU wanted a solution to achieve the digital transformation of the maintenance of electrical installations.
ACE and SPRI analysed the proposals received from the start-ups and organised a workshop for them to present their capabilities and work offers to KIMUA, GLUAL and ELDU.
The start-ups also included partners of ACE, such as Alerion and Barbara IoT, who presented their capabilities in the fields of machine vision, AI and IoT, along with 16 other Basque start-ups and start-ups from other regions of Spain.
After the workshop, the three SMEs will now decide with which start-up(s) they wish to further develop their challenge, with the aim of reaching a collaboration agreement with one or more of the start-ups and start working on the challenge.
