The activity consisted of a total of 7 public meetings held at the EVE stand (central part of the Basque hall, 1-D30) in which several Basque companies participated with wind power experts. The purpose was promoting knowledge on onshore and offshore wind power, both within and beyond the Basque Country.
Each meeting lasted about 20 minutes and enjoyed the presence of Cluster member companies, such as AEROBLADE, ALERION, NAUTILUS, NEM SOLUTIONS, TECNALIA, IK4 IKERLAN, SIEMENS GAMESA, VICINAY MARINE, IBERDROLA, INGETEAM or UPV-EHU. The main themes of the WindTalks were life extension and re-powering (day 1), digitalisation and remote monitoring (day 2), and new concepts for the development of offshore wind power (day 3). Each day, the meetings were focused on one of the themes.
The first day was devoted to life extension and re-powering, through the following windtalks:

The second day, the themes were focused on digitalisation and remote monitoring. In this case 3 meetings were held:
WT3: Business impact through digital services in energy: challenges and opportunities • Basque company: NEM Solutions (Ander Larrañaga, CBDO) • External expert: Iberdrola (José Carlos Araujo, Asset Performance Manager) • Moderator: Basque Energy Cluster (José Ignacio Hormaeche, MD)
WT4: Digital Twin of the electric components of the Wind Turbine Drivetrain • Basque company: Tecnalia (Eugenio Perea, Head of Digital Energy) • External expert: Ingeteam (Jorge Acedo, Wind Digitalisation Manager) • Moderator: Basque Energy Cluster (Marcos Suárez)
WT5: Challenges and opportunities for offshore wind and marine renewables development; the North Sea Offshore Grid • Basque company: UPV-EHU (Jesús Mari Blanco, Professor of the nuclear engineering and fluids mechanics department) • External expert: University of Strathclyde (Olimpo Anaya-Lara, Advanced Electrical Systems Group) • Moderator: Basque Energy Cluster (Marcos Suárez)
On the last day they focused on offshore wind power, addressing the challenges, opportunities and new specific concepts for this environment.
